Working with horses has made me a better, healthier person, founder, and executive.
I grew up riding but never realized how much I needed it until I returned to the ranch. The lessons I’ve learned from the horses have profoundly shaped how I lead and build.
Horses have taught me that you can’t force what won’t budge. Sometimes the answer isn’t working harder, but being agile enough to redirect.
They’ve shown me that nothing happens without trust. As prey animals, horses require calm confidence and psychological safety—mirroring how we must show up for our teams and partners.
Most importantly, horses remind me that connection is survival. As herd animals, they thrive in community, and so do we. Entrepreneurship can be isolating and lonely, but we cannot do it alone.
As a licensed mental health provider, the horses help me prioritize my own well-being—and for that, I’m forever grateful.
At Rogue Reins Ranch, we specialize in blending equine therapy with best practices from performance psychology to create experiences that are both therapeutic and strengths-based.
Whether you join us for a Rogue Ride (not your typical trail ride), equine-assisted therapy with our licensed mental health providers, or a full-day ranch experience for retreats or team-building, we help you prioritize your overall well-being through connection, purpose, and the practice of slowing down.
