Kelli Taylor, MPH

Team Role:

U.S. Navy Veteran - Veteran Liason - Equine Care and Compliance Officer

Kelli Taylor is a dedicated equine ranch professional at Rogue Reins Ranch, where she supports trail rides, equine-assisted therapy programs, and riding lessons through a strong foundation in animal care, safety, and operations. Her work centers on creating calm, organized, and welfare-centered environments for both horses and riders.

With extensive experience as a military emergency, wellness, and surgical technician, Kelli brings a clinical, safety-first mindset to daily ranch operations. She is highly skilled in animal assessment, handling, and problem-solving in dynamic environments, allowing her to support equine programs with confidence and consistency. Her background in veterinary triage and emergency response enhances risk awareness and preparedness across all ranch activities.

In addition to hands-on animal care, Kelli contributes deep operational and technical expertise. As a co-founder and operations leader of a technology company supporting live-animal transport workflows, she has led process design, training development, and system optimization. These skills translate directly to ranch settings through structured routines, clear communication, and dependable program support.

Kelli’s professional background also includes quality assurance, program coordination, and published research at a major research institution, where she developed training materials, standardized procedures, and large-scale surveillance workflows. This experience reinforces her strengths in documentation, consistency, and long-term program sustainability—key elements in equine-assisted therapy and instructional environments.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, a Master of Public Health, and maintains professional certifications in laboratory animal science and information technology, with ongoing technical education.

My Why

I’ve spent my life working with animals, and while dogs are often called man’s best friend, I believe every animal offers connection when we meet them with presence and intention.

Horses, in particular, possess an unmatched intuition. Their power and instinct for self-preservation invite humility, stripping us down to an honest internal conversation where our true nature is reflected without words. Horses are connection incarnate—a living, breathing Bluetooth to the soul.

My Favorite Thing About Rogue Reins Ranch

In a world shaped by manufactured experiences, digital encounters, and virtual third spaces, it is deeply rewarding to be part of a community rooted in honesty and reality—one that prioritizes human and animal health, physical and mental wellness, and genuine connection in real time.

I believe true connections happen when we show up fully present. Working alongside animals that are profoundly intuitive and reflective invites quiet, honest interactions of care that often reveal our truest selves.

Rogue Reins Ranch honors that process, understanding that truth can take time to uncover and that no one must walk their personal journey alone. Authentic third spaces are not only necessary—they are deeply needed.

To be a steward of such a space, to help cultivate a living, breathing community where connection is felt rather than simulated, is something I value deeply. Being part of providing that kind of refuge is not just meaningful work to me—it’s a calling.
